Alaa Garad, PhD, FRSA
Chairman Advisory Board
Professor of Strategic Learning and Business Excellence, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Al Maktoum College of Higher Education, Scotland, Recipient of the UK Headline Excellence Award (Presented by HRH Princess Royal), Founding Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Strategy and Organizational Learning
Alaa is a renowned Quality Management, service excellence, and organisational Learning expert with over 30 years of experience in consultancy, executive education, and business development. As the creator of the Learning-Driven Organisation Model, he has contributed to five books and authored over 470 articles. Additionally, he is a regular columnist for a leading newspaper.
In higher education, Alaa has played pivotal leadership roles at institutions in the
Middle East, including the University of Wollongong and Middlesex University. His corporate experience extends to management positions at Union National Bank and Investors in People UAE, where he notably served as CEO.
In 2017, Alaa relocated to the UK and now serves as the Pro Vice-Chancellor at Al Maktoum College of Higher Education in Scotland. He is also a member of the ISO Technical Committee TC260. His accolades include being a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce and a Certified Management and Business Educator from Chartered UK.
Alaa has developed the first MSc and PhD in Strategic Organisational Learning and has developed an MSc in Customer Experience and Service Management in partnership with Abertay University, Scotland. He is renowned for his innovative thinking that bridges academic theory with practical implementation. His dedication to the field was acknowledged with the prestigious Headline UK Excellence Award, presented by HRH Princess Ann under the auspices of the British Quality Foundation

Anisa Kabir Abdulfatah (PhD)
Founder / Sustainability lead
Dr. Anisa has immense passion for creating Social Impact across Africa, through her expertise in research for impact. Honoured by the University of Salford with an Environmental Improvement Award and recognised by the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) in 2023, she brings deep expertise in waste management, clean energy, and sustainability policies, particularly across Sub-Saharan Africa.
A seasoned researcher and thought leader, Dr. Anisa holds a PhD in sustainability focusing on promoting social impact and has participated in multidisciplinary initiatives such as digitising population census records in the United Kingdom in collaboration with The UK’s Office for National Statistics to promote zero-waste practices and a keynote speaker at the United Nations on energy management championing social inclusion in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Widely published on climate change, energy management, and the circular economy, she co-authored a pivotal work for the World Economic Forum and continues to action sustainable innovation solutions through the Centre for Sustainable Innovation and the Centre for Digital Innovation Project.

Farida Muhammad Kabir
Tech & Business Development Lead
Farida Mohammad Kabir is a strategic business leader and digital infrastructure specialist with a proven record of scaling ventures and shaping policy-driven growth in emerging markets. In previous roles, she advanced financial inclusion and digital transformation across industries, notably leading partnerships at Sudo Africa, driving inclusive banking policies at Safe Haven Microfinance Bank, and consulting on Nigeria’s $430 million ID4D project with the World Bank. Holding a BSc in Biological Science from Ahmadu Bello University, a PGD in Information Technology from Open University of Nigeria, and currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School, Farida’s expertise spans business expansion, regulatory strategy, and policy advocacy—making her a prominent force in Africa’s economic development.

Professor Temidayo Akenroye
Research & Sustainability Advisor
Professor Temidayo Akenroye is a Faculty Member at the University of Missouri-St Louis, the USA. He holds a PhD in Supply Chain Management from the University of Salford; two master’s degrees, one in Sustainability Leadership, from Cambridge University and the other in Supply Chain & Logistics Management from the University of Salford. He has published widely in top-tier academic journals; and his (co-edited) book, “Africa and Sustainable Global Value Chains” was recently published by Springer. Prof Akenroye was a Senior Manager in public procurement and supply chains with the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). He currently serves as a Member of the Peer Review College @ British Academy of Management, a Research Advisory Board Member for Africa Resource Centre (ARC) in South Africa, an Academic Advisor to Kuehne Foundation, Germany, Visiting Scholar at the University of South Africa, University of Central Lancashire, and Arden university in the UK. He has consulted and provided technical support for several organisations globally. He supported the governments of Kenya, Ghana, and Mali to design procurement interventions that linked over 20,000 small-holder farmers to the supply chain opportunities in school feeding programs in the countries. In 2019, he was appointed by Cooper/Smith USA to help improve data-driven decision-making culture among health-commodity supply chain leaders (managers) in Kenya and Senegal. Prof Akenroye has been widely sought to comment on supply chain issues on global TV channels including Al-Jazeera and BBC News, as well as on radio on LBC (London Broadcasting Company). He has delivered keynote speeches and invited research seminars and lectures at various universities and professional fora around the world.

Sai'du Ahmed
Policy & Strategic Communications Expert
A visionary policy strategist, with a passion for Political Economy, Democracy and International Development. Saidu serves as Special Assistant, Research & Strategy to Nigeria's Minister of Information & National Orientation.
As Nigeria Government Youth Envoy to the D-8 Organization For Economic Cooperation in Turkey, he's making waves globally, having also served as Mentor at President Obama Fellowship, Africa Regional Leadership Center, Accra, Ghana in 2020. Co-author of The Amman Youth Declaration, adopted by the UN Security Council as Resolution 2250. Saidu has penned over 40 policy papers and articles as Guest Columnist and regular writer in Nigeria Newspapers earning recognition from global organizations like OPEC Fund for International Development, Academics Stand Against Poverty (ASAP), Connecticut, United States.etc.
He has spoken and participated at major conferences, seminars and strategic webinars (TEDx, McKinsey, Chatham House, United Nations, Council on Foreign Relation, IMF, UNDP, World Bank, USAID, FCDO-UK etc.)

Dr Akilu Yunusa-Kaltungo
Co-founder
Akilu Yunusa-Kaltungo (BEng, MSc, PGDip-Mgt, PhD, CEng, FIMechE, FHEA) is a Reader in Reliability and Maintenance Engineering, as well as the Head of Education for the School of Engineering at The University of Manchester. He has a diverse range of research skills, owing to his blend of academic and industrial experiences. Before joining the University of Manchester, Akilu spent over a decade of his professional engineering career with LafargeHolcim plc in various leadership roles, including as Head of Safety, Health & Environment, Head of Training & Development, Head of Maintenance, Reliability Lead, Mechanical Execution Engineer, Process Optimisation Lead, etc. These notably diverse industrial experiences with global manufacturing organisations continue to inform his research and practices. Some of the areas in which Akilu has developed a notable international reputation include improving Occupational Safety & Health performance across high-risk sectors, decarbonisation of high-energy industrial operations, building energy consumption prediction and optimisation, vibration-based condition monitoring of industrial machines, machine learning-based faults detection and diagnosis, construction projects risk classification, industrial asset management and reliability, etc., through collaborations with reputable research-focused institutions and regulators such as Health & Safety Executive (HSE-UK), InnovateUK, EPSRC, etc. He has supported the realisation of over £3 million in external research funding, either as Principal Investigator (PI) or Co-Investigator (Co-I). Some of Akilu’s research has pioneered groundbreaking academia-industry knowledge transfer in the United Kingdom and globally. For example, his InnovateUK funded research on decarbonisation of high-energy sectors led to one of the first field trials at industrial scale of graphene-enhanced cement in collaboration with UK’s Department of Transport, University of Manchester, Breedon Cement (UK’s largest cement manufacturer), Morgan Sindall (a prominent UK construction contractor), and First Graphene ltd (Graphene-enhanced Cement Found to Reduce CO2 Emissions, BRITPAVENEWS, Issue 47, Spring 2024, Pg. 4). He has also generated over 180 technical publications in the form of high-impact journal articles, peer-reviewed conference articles, 3 textbooks (Key Themes in Energy Management: a compilation of current practices, research advances, and future opportunities, Construction Safety, Health and Well-being in the COVID-19 Era, and Condition monitoring: a simple and practical approach), book chapters, government commissioned reports and professional articles. Besides his core academic and practice-related activities, Akilu is also a school governor, regional secretary of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE North West), and the pioneer technical secretary of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (Manchester), where he advocates for the rights and progression of women and girls in science and engineering
